Gable Conservatories

  • Our gable end conservatories are an elegant and beautiful way to add more space to your home. Known for its unique design and sloping roof, the gable end conservatory will enhance your properties aesthetic by adding a touch of grandeur and style. The high vaulted roof floods the space with natural light, creating a serene environment to relax and unwind. Timelessly beautiful, this investment will no doubt set your property apart from the rest.

The gable end conservatory design is a variation of the popular Edwardian style, yet without the restrictions. This allows you more freedom over the design, enabling you to create the perfect conservatory that’s right for you and your home.

Our gable end conservatories are also ideal for blinds, so if you’re worried about getting too stuffy in the summer you can always shut out the rays when needed. Highly versatile, the gable end conservatory will compliment both modern and period properties alike. It’s design derives from a Georgian, gothic style and was a sign of wealth and grandeur. Available in an impressive range of finishes, feel free to let your creativity flow!

  • With a gable-end conservatory, the front of the roof doesn’t slope back to the centre. Instead, the front of the conservatory stays upright, like the end of a house – this is often called a sunburst effect. This is where the gable-end conservatory style gets its name from. A gable-end conservatory is square or rectangular in shape, providing you maximum space and light.

What is a Gable conservatory?

Unlike your conventional Victorian or Edwardian conservatory styles, a gable – or gable-end – conservatory features a high vaulted roof that forms a triangle shape. The epitome of class, gable-end conservatories are designed to add a touch of grandeur and luxury to your home.

The vaulted roof is very visually pleasing and makes the interior very spacious, allowing natural light to flood into the room. The roof has two pitches that slope down on either side of the centre frame and it’s the front view of the conservatory that gives it its name. It is possible to choose from other designs depending on your personal preference, but you have complete creative freedom!

Why choose a Gable conservatory?

If you’re looking to add extra space to your home, then a gable conservatory is a fantastic option. It’s design consists of a square or rectangular shape so you can maximise the square footage and its vaulted roof gives a fabulous feeling of space. Easy to furnish, gable conservatories were popular in the Georgian period and are a great way to enhance the period features in your home, or provide a stately feel. If you’re unsure as to which conservatory is right for you, then get in contact today for a free, no-obligation quote or visit our local showroom.

Are Gable conservatories energy efficient?

Similar to other conservatories, gable conservatories are as energy-efficient as the materials used to manufacture them. At Perfecta, we want our customers to reap the rewards of their additional space all year round, no matter how hot or cold it gets. This is why we custom-build our conservatories in our state-of-the-art factory, making them as insulative and energy-efficient as possible. We only use high-quality materials and superior glazing, as well as offering other options you can choose to lower your energy bills even further. For example, we can install dwarf walls or a tiled roof to your gable conservatory. These give a more robust look and are also especially beneficial in the winter as they help to reduce heat loss while ensuring you can still soak in as much natural light as possible.

Are Gable conservatories secure?

At Perfecta, the safety of our customers comes first. All of our products meet the high standards of the UK Police-led Secured By Design initiative, which works to reduce burglaries by improving home security. All our windows and doors are made from extra tough glass and use high-spec locking mechanisms, so don’t worry! Even though you may feel exposed in your conservatory space, an intruder will struggle to enter. However, it is always a good idea to hide expensive items or electronics from view before leaving your home.
