Stylish OrangeriesGet Your Designs
Featuring brickwork, dwarf walls, and pillars, our orangeries are popular amongst Weston-super-Mare and Somerset homeowners due to the cosy and stylish touch that they add. Additionally, the glass roofs that come fitted with our orangeries add a touch of elegance by enhancing the brightness of your living space.
We offer numerous further customisation options for your orangery. We can provide cornices that are curved or one-, two-, or three-tiered that are available in four standard colours and any RAL colour. Our super-insulated columns can also be added to your orangery in different colours, panelling, and sizes for more warmth.
Our orangery roofs can be designed with larger spans and door openings. They also come with different glazing options, including shaped, side-shaped, full-length panels, or a combination of all three. We also offer performance glazing with a 1.0 W/m²K U-value and high or low light transmission and solar rejection depending on how much sun your orangery gets.
Despite their numerous similarities to extensions, our orangeries are a more cost-effective option. Because of this, our orangeries are a popular option amongst Weston-super-Mare or Somerset homeowners.
Not only are our orangeries cost-effective in their upfront cost, but they are also cost-effective as they may reduce your bills over time. As our orangeries are not prone to temperature fluctuations, you may find that you rely less on your central heating and, as a result, may notice a reduction in your utility bills.

Our orangery roofs are BBA-approved and come with a 25-year life expectancy certificate. They have been wind-tested at speeds of up to 130mph and fire-tested by Warringtonfire. Our orangery roofs are also capable of withstanding up to 4m of unsupported bifold or sliding doors.
Our orangery roofs consist of a vaulted ceiling and have an internal pelmet around the perimeter. This provides a space for you to install lights or speakers in a living space that is usually difficult to light.
Exova Warringtonfire tests our conservatory roofs to ensure compliance with fire safety. Our orangery roofs also fully comply with the latest Building Regulations and have been pre-approved by Assent and JHAI.
Our decorative super-insulated columns provide high levels of comfort and have a U-value of only 0.15 W/m²K. Our slimline ridges are 30% slimmer than traditional ridges and come with high-performance thermal breaks to prevent cold spots and condensation.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an orangery?
Previously, orangeries were owned by wealthy families. These days, they are no longer exclusive to the elite and can be enjoyed by anyone. Featuring solid construction, dwarf walls around the perimeter, and a decorative roof lantern, orangeries will make for an excellent addition to any Weston-super-Mare or Somerset home.
Do I need planning permission for an orangery?
This depends on the details of the orangeries, but generally speaking, orangeries do not require planning permission as they are seen to be permitted developments as long as they meet the requirements. If your orangery does not meet the requirements, then planning permission will be required.
What is the difference between an orangery and a conservatory?
Conservatories feature more glass to let in more light, which makes them feel bright and spacious. Orangeries, on the other hand, feel more enclosed due to their more solid construction. This means that orangeries face less temperature fluctuations, making them ideal for year-round living and entertaining.
Orangeries also emulate the look and feel of house extensions, whereas conservatories serve as a seamless transition between the inside and outside.
Is an orangery warmer than a conservatory?
Because an orangery features more solid construction and a conservatory features more glass, orangeries tend to retain more heat. However, the glazing and materials used all contribute to the overall thermal efficiency.
How much are orangeries?
It is difficult to provide a price for your orangery as customisation options, your exact location in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, or the surrounding area, and other factors contribute to the overall costs. The best way to get a price is to call us at 01934 624632.
From start to finish, it was outstanding service. We were given expert advice and got to design our perfect door. We had fantastic communication throughout, and the door fitter was professional and knowledgable. Highly recommend Perfecta Windows.
Great Experience, from the initial visit to the installation…we had absolutely no issues. Really impressed with our new front door.
The sales visit was great, contact with the team via phone was fine, and the installation guy was very professional and cleaned up afterwards.
I would 100% recommend it.
I chose this company as I wanted to support local businesses and didn’t regret it.
The whole team, from office staff to fitters, all did a fantastic job. It’s all so straightforward and informative. Good quality windows were installed magnificently, so it is much warmer in the house now and so much quieter, which I was not expecting, so it is an added bonus.
Great local company to deal with. Richard, from the sales team, listened to what we wanted and was able to offer advice on the suitability of products (of all the companies we contacted, Perfecta were the only ones to visit our house, the others only offered online consultations). The prices we were quoted were competitive, and there was no “hard sell”. The fitter was punctual, friendly and efficient; the work was completed within a day, and he cleared up after the work was done. The windows themselves look great, they have certainly cut down on the condensation and damp in our children’s bedrooms and have made them feel warmer. Thanks to the Perfecta team.
Perfecta Windows have just replaced all my windows and front door; the whole process, from the initial phone enquiry to the actual installation, was so easy, there was no hard selling pressure. The windows were fitted when they said they would be; they are clean and tidy, and the windows look great. Thank you.
